I love God, and we cant praise him enough for what we have. We act materialistic sometimes, because we have so much money (courtesy of God), but he didnt want to make it a bad thing. Thats why sometimes we have to praise him for the little things in life :)

Duct Tape and its Amazing Abilities

Who knew that duct tape could be used for so many different things. I just learned how to make bow hairclips out of colored duct tape. Then theres the usual: wallets, bags, etc... But who knew you could make a prom dress out of it? Stuck at Prom is where you and your date make your tux and dress completely out of duct tape! Amazing, huh? The 2008 winners are pictured below. I think when I'm in High School I'M going to make my dress out of duct tape. I would definitley stand out, but not in a good way.....

Kenny

Hello friends. I took a trip to Yosemite over Spring break, and my close ally, Rachel, and I made nightly trips to the gift shop around 8:00. Every night the same guy was working there, and his name happened to be Kenny. Every time we went there we would pester him with stupid questions. The first night, my Dad gave me a card to pay with which charged his room bill. When I went to buy a cards and I signed the reciept I asked, "Do I keep this or give it back to you?", and he said, "Uhhhh I need that back." Rachel cracked up, but me being me, I had no idea what was going on, because truly, I didnt know what to do with the reciept. The next night, my friend and I bought cute backpacks that were really bears!! We went up to the checkout counter to buy the backpacks and whaddya know, Kenny was there. His greeting: OH, its you girls again. and we saw Kenny had a coloring picture next to him. We asked "Oh, Kenny, is that yours?" He said it was and that he had trouble coloring inside the lines. We both agreed. Rachel and I both agreed. That was the last we saw Kenny, and in honor of him, I named my bear backpack after him :)

It Breaks My Heart

In Tracy, CA a girl named Sandra Cantu (pictured left) was reported missing on MArch 26th from a friends house. She had been talking about running away on the phone earlier, so they searched a local river near her house for a few weeks. Just a few days ago, a farmer was draining his irrigation system and saw a black suitcase come up as he drained it. He called the police. When they opened the suitcase, Sandra Cantu was found inside. Dead. And, she was only eight years old. They arent sure if she was dead and THEN put into the suitcase, or if they put her in alive. Either way, it breaks my heart to hear this, and keep her in your prayers.

Fitness in Science: Deathly or Demanding

A few days ago a close friend of mine was almost killed in the midst of fitness testing in health class. Better yet, we had a horrible substitute. Lets go into detail: At the beginning of class we first write down our homework, and we checked to see if we had any over spring break. Our sub, Mrs. Hinkie, says "You do! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" OMG it was the scariest laugh ive ever heard!!! Then, we started to do our fitness testing stations. I, leaving my lab at home, decided to help my close comrade, Shelby, during this lab. We first went to a station where you have to step up and down on a plastic step for two minutes and then record your pulse. There is one hard grippy side down the middle and on the two edges there are smooth plastic pieces. There were two people on the step, one my friend Shelby, and another girl named Megan. Shelby was moving around the side of the step and all of a sudden she slid backwards on the plastic part and twisted her ankle. the sub said in a non-caring voice, "I'll get you a wheelchair." MY friend quickly said no and that she could walk to the nurse because it was nearby. MY sub refused and really didnt even care that she was hurt. How mean!
